Sandra Researches on the Program of Mri Technician Training Offered by the Aamri
Sandra wanted to undergo MRI Technician Training and she had been advised to try and enter into the program provided by the American Academic of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. She had finished high school a year earlier and was told that at the AAMRI, that was all that was required. She had been working in the local hospital’s pharmacy since graduation and she found the work of the MRI technicians most interesting.
Sandra had been researching on the program that the AAMRI offered and she knew that, if accepted, she would be in a 12-month program wherein half of the year would be focused on the coursework and the other half on clinical training. The coursework is divided into four parts: the fundamentals of magnetic resonance imaging which includes mathematics, physics, chemistry, electricity and magnetism in relation to the principles of MRI; magnetic resonance imaging applications which include the protocols of imaging, anatomy and physiology; the fundamentals of medicine which includes the basics of medical sciences such as biochemistry, immunology, neurobiology and the like as they relate to magnetic resonance imaging; and medical applications which would focus on patient care, imaging, and administrative procedures.
Armed with what she had learned about the program, Sandra was convinced that MRI Technician Training is definitely the field she wanted to get into.
